This guide will explain how to unlock every unlocked character on Mario Kart Wii. There are three types of characters available. Mario Kart Wii characters are classified into heavy, medium, and light heavy. This determines the kind of kart or bike the character is able to use. They also have minor variations between them (you might notice slight stat variations when playing different characters within similar vehicles). For example, Baby Mario has a statistical advantage in weight and handling, which is similar to the lightweight character Toad. The differences aren’t significant and shouldn’t stop you from selecting your favourites. You can test these by comparing different characters in the same vehicle.

Part1 Baby Daisy and Daisy

  1. You must earn at least 1 Star Rank for all 50cc Wii Grand Prix Cups or play 1,950 games.
  2. Get the $150cc Special Cup or play 2,850 games.

Part2 Baby Luigi

  1. Unlock 8 Ghosts of the Expert Staff to play Time Trials, win 100 Wi-Fi Ghost Races, and play 3150 game.

Part3 Birdo

  1. Play Time Trials on 16 distinct courses, compete in 250 Wi-Fi race, or play 1 350 game.

Part4 Bowser Jr and Dry Bowser

  1. At least one Star Rank for all 100cc Retro Grand Prix Cups, or take part in 3,450 matches.
  2. You must earn at least 1 Star Rank for all 150cc Wii Grand Prix Cups or play up to 4,350 Games.

Part5 Diddy Kong

  1. Get 50cc Lightning Cup or play 450 games.

Part6 Dry Bones

  1. Get the $100cc Leaf Cup or play 1,050 games.

Part7 King Boo

  1. You can win the 50cc Star Cup or play 750 games.

Part8 Rosalina

  1. Do you have Super Mario Galaxy game files saved to your Wii ensure that you’ve saved the files of the Mii that you play on Mario Kart Wii and play 50 games, and earn at minimum 1 Star Rank for all Mirror Grand Prix Cups or play 4950 game.
  2. At least one Star Rank for all 150cc Wii Grand Prix cups and beat 18 Staff Ghosts.

Part9Toadette

  1. You can play HTML0 Time Trials on all 32 different courses, win 1000 Wi-Fi races or play 2550 online games.

Part10 Mii

  1. Get the $100cc Special Cup or play 1,650 games.
  2. unlock all (32) Ghosts of the Expert Staff for Time Trials, win 5,000 Wi-Fi Ghost Races and play over 5,100 online games.

Part11 Funky Kong

  1. Unlock 4 Ghosts of the Expert Staff in Time Trials, win 25 Wi-Fi races, or play over 2,250 game.
